Frequently Asked Question [FAQ]
GCAS Certificate Programs
Q: If I miss a seminar can I still participate in the Program?
There's three ways you can continue to participate in the program:
(1) Although it's ideal to participate in our live and interactive seminars, if you miss it for whatever reason, you can watch the recorded lecture;
(2) You can also interact with the professors and participants (researchers) in the online seminar forum or through email exchange;
(3) You may also schedule a one-on-one e-meeting with the professors (for an additional fee of $50/ hour). Just email us or schedule a one-on-one here via this link.
Q: How long are the individual lectures?
A: It varies per professors but typically the professors will introduce the material and open up discussion time in which everyone can participate. This normally lasts between 1-2 hours.
Q: What's the deal with the project?
A: To meet the requirements for the Certificate Program you must complete a project. We strongly encourage using your imagination and different media to express ideas and concepts so there's no set "template" for a program per se, but here's some additional information about the project.
Q: How long do I have to complete the Program?
A: It normally takes about two months but there's no time limit. You can work through the program on your own terms and schedule and turn in your project when your ready.
Q: Is the project graded?
A: No, but we give you feedback.
