Rajeshwari

Rajeshwari

Rajeshwari graduated with M.A. Education from Azim Premji University in India.  Her current research centres on understanding the negotiation of teachers with the temporal and spatial modalities in the classroom and its reflection in the construction of teacher identity. Her study is driven by an interest to understand the possibilities and plausibility of schools acting as sites of resistance to the larger political paradigm of divisive and neo-liberal discourses, and teachers as the moral and social agents of change with an attempt to drive an alternate critical dialogue on elementary education in India.  Within the framework of critical pedagogy, the study aims to stir a dialogue with educators on exercising subjectivities as a form of capacity building and creative self-activity within their classroom.

Rajeshwari is an educator currently based out of Chennai, India. She works with different schools and organizations focusing on teacher education and curriculum development.
